For some primary schools in the far-flung area of Bavel district in Cambodia's Battambang, a lack of school materials, inappropriate toilets and sanitary facilities were challenges facing them.
But the situation has gradually changed since 2019 thanks to the help of a Chinese voluntary organization.
Since 2019, the Amity Foundation has provided scholarships to students and helped build basic infrastructure at those schools through the Cambodian non-government organization Life With Dignity.
