On April 10, the Preparatory Meeting for "Safe Lancang-Mekong Operation" and "Operation SEAGULL" was held in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The meeting was initiated by the Lancang-Mekong Integrated Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation Center (LMLECC) to implement the consensus of the fourth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Leaders' Meeting.
Over 20 delegates from the six LMC countries, namely China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, attended the event.
They reached a positive consensus on participating in the "Safe Lancang-Mekong Operation" initiated by China's Ministry of Public Security and "Operation SEAGULL" initiated by LMLECC to jointly combat telecom fraud and other prominent transnational crimes.
